Default Maw The Mountain Heart

probably the coolest moment in GW for me was when i was mapping dreadnought's drift and suddenly the biggest thing i had ever seen popped out of the floor and tried to kill me.

basically i think it would be pretty cool for Maw to have its own quest/quest line seeing as its the second biggest thing in all of GW, has a rather epic name, and can be quite hard to get to. something along the lines of the titan quests or something like that.

You know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Cool idea even if some say that it will take away the devs from GW2.

Something along the line of: Master Togo wants to go fishing and needs some worms as bait.

He already has a purpose that nothing else does (without cheating and using elite necro tome). He is the only cap for Feast of Corruption. Not sure about 2nd biggest thing in GW either. Abaddon is huge, so are Frostmaw and Cyndr. Frostmaw is definitely larger too.

Edit: Also, Maw has numerous spawn locations in various zones throughout the southern shiverpeaks. The only "permanent" spawn is the one in Dreadnaught's. This would make quest development somewhat difficult.

on the note of maw, he's not the biggest in GW. frostmaw is. and also, maw is rather VERY easy to kill and 'NOT' worth making a quest around.

Kephet and all the scarab nest builders and their necro friends were created the same time as the quest. This was also implemented to keep people from 55 monk farming the griffons.

Because epic is an epic term.
But yeah a quest would be fun. Although some story better then Togo needing fishing bait.

Name one quest that is hard. All quests are pretty much follow the green arrows until you get to point x.

/signed, I remember how epic Maw seemed to all of us during the Prophecies only days.

For everyone requesting more greens, keep in mind that this boss existed before green drops. These were not added until the Sorrows Furnace update, at least 6 months after the game's release date.

Also, someone tell me how Master Togo even knows about Maw.

This would infer that Togo has been to Tyria.

Sames goes for Rotscale.

Rotsacle had a quest long time ago.

It could go back too.

The quest could require to find it and attack it in some places (5 or 6 of the spots it may appear), and after beating it 5 or 6 times it, you could go to the permanent spot, and after killing it it ould leave a reward chest (that only those with the last part of the quest can use)

totally agree. i mean, he has his own little castle and a horde of minions and lives in a place called "Majesty's Rest". surely he has to be of some importance?

we could have quests for rostcale and maw similar to Villainy of Galrath, or maybe even Galrath as the start of a chain of quests, eg: Galrath -> Rotscale -> Maw
